I. Acceptance of Privacy Policy

HGHLND EVNTS, Inc. (hereafter “Highland”) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. Please take some time to read this Privacy Policy which will explain how your personal information will be treated if it is collected through Highland’s website (collectively the “Service”). 

By accepting this Privacy Policy and using the Service, you agree to be bound by the terms contained herein. Except as expressly provided, this Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Highland does not own or control or to people that Highland does not employ or manage. Any use of information that Highland gathers and any dispute over privacy is subject to the Privacy Policy and Highland’s Terms of Use incorporated herein by reference.

II. Changes to Privacy Policy

Highland reserves the right to change, alter, replace or otherwise modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When Highland makes any changes to the Privacy Policy, Highland will highlight this fact on the Service, and the revised Privacy Policy will become effective thirty (30) days after such notification. Your continued use of the Service after such thirty (30) day period will constitute acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

From time to time Highland may desire to use your personal information for uses not previously disclosed in this Privacy Policy. If Highland’s practices change regarding previously collected personal information, Highland will provide notice and obtain consent to any such uses as may be required by law.

III. Information Highland Collects

When you use the Service, two types of information may be collected: personal information you choose to disclose voluntarily and website use information that is collected as you interact with the Service.

Highland only collects information that you affirmatively provide. You may provide personally identifiable information to Highland when you submit a job application (an “Application”) or contact the Service via email.

The types of website use information Highland gathers may include but is not limited to IP addresses (the Internet address of a computer), computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform, purchase history, the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from the website, including date and time, cookie number, and web pages and/or products you viewed or searched.

Highland collects and analyzes personal data for internal purposes. Any website use information Highland may gather is to improve the functioning of and your experience on the Service.  Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on the Service is a violation of our Terms of Use.

IV. Age Requirements

Highland does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to use the Service. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or send any information to Highland about you. No one under age 18 may provide any personal information to the Service. In the event that Highland learns that personal information has been collected from a minor under the age of 18, Highland will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that Highland might have any information from or about a minor under the age of 18, please contact Highland at info@highland.events. Highland does not knowingly accept Applications from applicants under the age of 21.

V. Cookies

Like many websites and mobile applications, Highland uses cookies. Cookies are a mobile application or website’s way of remembering who you are. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your devices hard drive or stored temporarily in your devices memory. There are two kinds of cookies: those that are “session” oriented and those that are “persistent”. Session cookies delete from your device when you close your browser. Highland uses cookies to help Highland to identify repeat users and to optimize their experience on the Service. VI. Who Collects the Information

Information is collected by or on behalf of HGHLND EVNTS, Inc. If data is being collected and/or maintained by any company other than Highland and Highland’s agents, you will be notified prior to the time of the data collection or transfer.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Highland on the Service and Highland is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Highland encourages its users to be aware when they leave the Service and to read the privacy statements of each website that collects personal information.

VII. Use of Information

Highland does not share your information with third parties. Any information collected by Highland about you will be solely used by Highland to (1) improve and maintain the Service and/or (2) to consider your candidacy for employment.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Highland may disclose information when required to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order or subpoena or other legal obligations, in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or in special cases when Highland has reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with Highland’s rights or property.

VIII. Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Information

You have the right to review and obtain a downloadable copy of your personal information from Highland, to request corrections to your personal information, and to request deletion of your personal information.  You may also withdraw your consent to receive e-mail communications from Highland, and/or withdraw your consent to Highland’s collection, use, and sharing of your personal information at any time by sending an e-mail request to info@highland.events.  

IX. Security

Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and Highland cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to Highland. Highland does not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. Do not share any information on or through the Service if you are concerned about the unauthorized access to such information by a third party.  By using the Service or providing personal information to Highland, you agree that Highland may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Service. If Highland learns of a security system's breach relating to your personal information, Highland will notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Service or, if you have consented to receiving email communications from Highland, by sending an email to you.

X. Other Legal Notices

Any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, including limitations on damages and application of the laws of California.
